Meeting of the Governor of Damascus with the Mayor of Greater Amman
The Governor of Damascus, Mr. Marwan Abboud, met with the Mayor of Greater Amman, Dr. Yousef Al-Shawarbeh, to discuss areas of cooperation between the two cities on the sidelines of the Arab and European Cities Dialogue Forum held in the capital, Riyadh.
The Governor of Damascus, accompanied by the Governors of Rural Damascus and Quneitra, met with a delegation headed by Ma'ruf Dundar from the Businessmen Forum to explore investment opportunities and enhance economic development.
The discussion emphasized the potential to attract various investments to support employment and the importance of establishing an industrial zone. The attending governors also discussed their role in facilitating the connection between investors and local institutions, and in providing support for service and real estate projects.
Participants stressed the need to simplify procedures, particularly in the health and hotel sectors, and to develop strong relationships with investors by listening to their opinions and suggestions.
The Governor of Damascus also requested the submission of studies and proposals for supporting projects, highlighting the need to ensure government services and expand the necessary infrastructure to attract investments.
